Kre d port head
How does the oil return from the standard d port KRE heads? Is it just through the hole towards the back of the head?

Is this why you think your oil usage / smoking issue is starting from?

Just trying to understand the path of the pil back to the pan. The poured lifter brace probably isn't helping. Wondering if it needs modifying

I believe the oil goes down through the head from the valve cover area into the valley pan area, then toward the oil pan.
The poured lifter brace probably isn't helping. Wondering if it needs modifying As been previously discuss on another thread. Sorry but I don't think that poured lifter brace is helping you any. The oil is not draining back to the oil pan fast enough in my opinion. .

If you want to end your oil smoke issue install a vacupan set up into your headers.
I had My cousin’s son do this due to the same issue as your motor and it’s cured! The crankcase pressure due purely to your motors long stroke needs you be released.
