Default IA Motor Mount Adapters, anybody use them?

I am currently building up a '69 400 to replace the stock 301 in my 78 GP. From what I can tell I need mount adapters since it is an older block and does not have the newer mount bosses.

Has anyone used the mount adapters from IA? (See JPEG attached) If so do they work well? I am plan on using the new 301 pedestals , but do the adapters replace the brackets on the block or simply allow the 301 brackets to be mounted to the block?

from what i can tell, those brackets bolt to the existing mounts on the cross member with the long bolts, while the short bolts are what bolt to the block. you could probably fab a set of those cheaper than the $90 price, they look pretty simple.

Those mounts bolt directly to the block, you wont use the original 301 block mounts.
