JL's were used early in '70 production. They were produced up till November 23rd(?) of '69. These were used with 2 piece rotors (rotor with bolt on hub).

JT's were first stamped up around Nov 24th & were used on Pontiac A-bodies built from aprox very last days of November & on. How soon plants ran out was deciding factor. Redesign of rotor to one piece (integral hub) brought about the change in codes. Same deal happened at same time on Chevelle SS's where 14x7 SS wheel code went from YA to AO due to rotor change.

My car came with JT wheels. It was built in May of '70. - Came with 4 wheel drum brakes.
