Default TPS and O2 Test

Bought this 2001 Pontiac Convertible Trans AM yesterday with the check engine light on. It's got the 5.7 litre in it and runs very smooth and well. All gauges look fine, temp, oil, charging, etc. A repair shop provided a diagnostic they did for the previous owner indicating the fault codes in the computer were for the TPS and the catalytic converter on the left side ( I assume this is drivers side). He said sometimes that converter code will come up due to an O2 sensor being bad and that there were 4 of them on the car. To figure it out he said it would be at least a couple of hundred bucks to do some more troubleshooting. I was wondering if there was any test I can pull with a meter on the TPS or O2 sensors to figure out what may be wrong.
