Dyno sheet attached.
3.73 rear gear x 2.48 first gear = 9.25
4.210 Stroke x 3600 Lbs. = In the 9.30s range. It looks pretty on the mark there. Your top end gearing is pretty solid. 3.73s should be sending you through the trap at 6000 with 28 tall tires. From your dyno sheet thats peak power. I don t know what type suspension your using, but having your instant center to high will make a car 60 ft. slower also. My 65 GTO with a 480 hp, 408ci at 3660lbs. with me in it will 1.51 60 foot. Your definitely leaving some on the table. Peace!

Stock front suspension with Global West drag upper double adjustable shocks. CalTrac split leaf springs and Caltrac bars, their Rancho shocks in the middle adjust where they recommend starting. rear sway bar no front sway bar.

The 78 TA with the old mild roller 259/262@0.050 455 4.56s and the A-1 convertor 60 ft's 1.5s regularly at 3750lbs.

Victor 4150 Demon 850(tried my larger venturi Demon and no faster. dynoed the best even over a Dominator on the 2" adapter. Even this intake no spacer is tight with a 3" cowl hood. Footbrake about 2500.

Mind you our elevation is at 2200 ft. 28 inch tire with 4:10 gear. Current convertor flashes to 5000. It feels like the engine would like more convertor, like 5500 maybe even 6000..
Chuck
Didn't u make almost 800 hp with your motor? 132 mph is not anywhere near that number even at 3700 lbs! , i was running 132-133 with my old 468 3650 lbs AND THAT ENGINE DYNOED 650 hp!

Current is an Ultimate Convertors. Generally shift 6500-6700. May need to loosen convertor-close to 5000 on data logger, but I still think the trans may have some issues. I put the a-1 that flashed t0 5000 with my old 455 in the TA but it was still about that with this motor.
skip i tried 2 different conv, and they were almost identical in 60, ft, It's not your converter, how much mph again? 1/8th and 1/4?

Darby I'll have to look at 1/8 but on the 10.3 et mph was 132.5

I know my TA when it was 1.5 60 fting was 99-100 and 6.9 1/8 and 10.90 @ 124 with the A-1.

So then for some reason lower bottom end or trans just not hitting in 1st like it should. Why trying a new trans before trying advancing the cam.

132 at the line is like 640 to 650 horses. So some where from the dyno to the car you lost 50hp. what I see too is the stats say only 500hp at the 60 foot. I wonder if the trans has lost its line pressure? lost clutch holding power?

Not quite that. Came in at 789hp and 700T. Well we have to take into account that the elevation here is at 2200 ft and there are days at the track when it 77 to 80*F. and hotter. Our air density can get up to 4000 ft.

Dave say's it should go in the 9's at sea level. Mission Track B.C. Just doesn't 60 ft like we think it should.

Get a converter from PTC and be done with it. I've wasted a lot of time and a fair amount of money trying converters that "Should have been" closer than they were.
