Question #'s matching Judge

Ok judge guru's its time to make my non-numbers matching 1969 Judge, numbers matching. I know little about casting numbers and date codes, but do know enough to start down the right path on my search for the correct parts. My car is all there, according to my PHS documentation except for the engine, which is a mish/mash of parts from 67-71!

Heres what I think I need?

WS block (PHS says 4 speed code 354) Casting and date codes?????
#48 heads (I think) Date code??????
Intake #9794234 Date Code?????
Exhaust manifolds #9797073???
Not to mention all the other little parts!

Any help on making this judge #'s matching again would be greatly appretiated!

Without the original engine that the car was built with it will never be a "numbers matching" car, legitimately anyway.

Many people will find replacement components that have casting dates that are several weeks prior to the cars build date & application codes that are the same as the original engine but that would only be considered correct, not #'s matching IMO.

Steve you're right! Let me re-phrase "make my non-numbers matching Judge, numbers correct"

I believe you can make your car "correct" with the right parts. The block will not be numbers mathing since the ID# will not match. What month was your car assembled?

To get you in the ballpark, here are the dates off my 69 which I beleive to be original. Hope this helps.

Vehicle time-built code = 02C (third week of feb)
48 Pass side head = A099
48 Drivers side head = A139
Alternator = 9A22
WS Block = B109
Intake = B119

Thanks Guys

My date code is 03B,

Dan looks like your engine date codes are 1 and 2 months prior to car build, which makes sense to me, because they typically build the engines in another plant prior to final assembly. Is 1-2 month prior to final assembly typical for the engine date codes vs. the assembly of the vehicle?

Its going to be interesting to see how they all do coming out of the gate in 08.

Thats alot for one auction espically at the start of the year, imo.

Someone might get a great deal.
