I got a new set of KRE/wensler HI ports many YRS ago. I returned them unused, got my money back...and they resold them to a guy in NJ and he was SUPER HAPPY with them. I would not even think to run any aftermarket heads other than e-heads as a bolt on deal.

The E-heads were nasty'r then normal(crude), and 2 bowls & seats on one head were not finished correctly.

Some guys are in the 10's under 300 cfm. Then you have Pro's like Truman Fields and Mino Milo run'n 11's with factory blue printed 400/d-ports/068 cam/cast iron intake. I believe Truman is using 68 RAII heads at the moment, but still alsome.

Well we will find out shortly how well my 325 cfm heads will flow, as they should be comming out of the shop this comming week. I had a 5 angle valve job done, .025 milled off the deck of 74cc version, spring pads machined to run 1.950 IH springs, some additional port cleanup. Purchased Manley ICD titanium NASCAR retainers, ISKY tool room NASCAR valve springs. Hell the retainers and springs set me back almost $900.00, the price we pay to go fast. They will go to DCI for flow testing before being asymbled. I will post results when I get them. Then it's off to the dyno, I have made no other changes to the combo, so I will be able to find out what gains I will get over my full race ported #48's. BTW car runs consistant low 10.7x NA with the iron heads, wonder how fast with the new ones.

What is the combo? As an intermediate step for me I might send my cleaned up d-port 96's (flow 220) to Dave Bischop for a cnc 260 cfm port. For the shipping, dis/reassemble, cnc porting - less than 800.00. This simplifes the process for me as to not having to replace the pushrods AND it is a direct comparison. Can't wait for the info from the dyno. BTW- there is another Pontiac head in devlopment. A canted valve head, supposed to flow 325 +. Need to use a Ferd intake and custom valvecovers and round port headers. Website should be up by Xmas 2006. John |

462 ci, 1050 cfm Quick Fuel carb, ported Victor, solid roller .667 lift 275-281@.050 104 centerline set at 98, Ross flat tops, eagle H beam rods, custom step headers from Mad Dog, ATI 5500 stall converter, TH 400 full manual, 9" Ford 4.10 gear, spool, car is a chassis car from the firewall back. Big tire 32.25X12.2RX15W radial slicks. These heads have big runners for a "D" port head 1.200X2.400. Like Ron said, I'll be a scratchin, will proberbly have to change converter to one a little tighter. But I'll wait untill I run it with what I have.
