1955 Pontiac-Chevy Body Parts Interchange
I know the doors and glass are a direct interchange, at least in the 2 door post models.
Has anyone used a 55 Chevy quarter panel to patch/repair a 55 Pontiac? It looks the same except for the wheel opening and the rear part getting close to the tail lights. I need rust repair around the window and between the window and trunk on the flat part of the quarter panel. Also rear side window frame and quarter panel below this area. Just curious if I could use sections of an aftermarket 55 Chevy quarter for repair.

Don't know about 1/4 but if you have Chieftain trunk lid is the same. If you need trim clips some of the Chevy ones fit. Just check width of molding.

Mine is a chieftain. Thanks, I did not realize the trunk lid was the same. I think my trunk is in pretty good shape, but I have not stripped it yet.

Someone has a GM body parts interchange manual on e-bay.

Kindigit (Bitchin' Rides) used Chebby panels on their 52 Chieftain they did, with minor modifications.
