Default It's Alive!!!

Yesterday I was able to witness the rebirth of my RAIII engine!!
I had it rebuilt to factory specs, nothing crazy.
The dyno runs came out at a peak HP of 335, and 428 ft.lbs torque.
From 3000-4500 rpm the average torque over this range was 411 ft.lbs!!
It is very snappy and has awesome throttle response! Thanks to Jim McGowan at the Quad Shop! And to Felice Automotive in Ionia MI!!!

Yippee! That is a fun feeling. Looks like you went to a great shop. I just got that feeling also and wished I had dyno test available.

It is amazing how a stock build was so close to factory rating of this engine. What a great street engine with HP & TQ in those RPM bands. +400lb TQ all over the place = nice street. Nice!

I was equally surprised on how close the numbers came to the factory specs.
335 hp actual vs 345 factory spec, that is less than 4% variance!!

I cant wait for the shake down cruise!!

Is this the same Jim McGowan that has a column in Hemmings Muscle Machines?
