Default FS: Moog 5391 rear springs, $50

For sale is one pair of nearly new Moog 5391 rear springs. These are what you get
if you order p/n PS370 from Ames, and are the correct factory replacement rear
springs for a wide variety of '61-77 Pontiacs, among others.

I put them in 2 winters ago, put about 1k miles on them, and decided they're a touch
too soft for me. Took them out eariler this week to install some firmer springs, and
they still look brand new.

$50 + shipping, or if you happen to be within driving distance of Tewksbury MA,
come on by and save the shipping.

What did you have them in, by soft > do you mean bouncy, too low? Do you have a pic of the car with them installed...Thanks Dave

These were installed in my '70 Bonneville convertible.

By soft I mean that their spring rate was lower than what I like. The rest of the
suspension is fairly far from stock (bigger front & rear anti-roll bars, stiffer than stock
front springs, etc....), and it was obvious when driving that the rear wasn't a proper
match to the rest of the system. I increased the rear spring rate by an additional
25#/inch and now everything is MUCH better balanced.

Just a small correction to the original post. Thanks to a PM I received, I went back and
checked my original receipts. These springs were ordered from Ames as p/n PS365, not
PS370.

So, they are still indeed Moog 5391's, but the correct Ames cross is PS365.

Sorry for the mixup!

If I knew what these would do to the ride height in my stock 68 GTO, I'd grab them in a minute. And only 1/2 hour from ya
