1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport
I was changing the oil on my 1970 Lemans Sport that I have owned for about 10 years now and noticed this next to the oil pan. Can anyone help me figure out what this is and what I should do about it.? Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like a garden-variety convertor cover with a vent.

Looks like the flywheel cover, has a small slice for drain if water gets in there.

Appears something pierced it ......or maybe a rear main seal leak runoff port !

No, that is an intentional stamped vent/drain hole in the torque convertor shields on every GM car with a TH350 or TH400.
