So that's what's on the other side of the wall.

Looking forward to seeing your ride in person, maybe you and Spotts can line up together at Maple Grove.

The garage. That is the fron end of the dragster sticking through the hole in the wall.

Looking good, Glenn. I especially like the valve cover treatment, it's reminiscent of the old gold Moroso covers. If it wasn't done already, be sure to space the lock rings on either side of the driveshaft couplers 1/8" (1/8" total) to allow for chassis movement. Driveshaft/coupler cover done yet?

We have the 1/8 inch of play in the coupler. The drive shaft cover is installed. The gold in the covers matches the gold leaf in the body. Thanks

Glen, looking good!!!! Double check the placement of the T bolts for the driveline cover. Have someone in a suit with boots etc sit in it & check/make sure the t bolts dont hang up on your boots/suit while getting in & out. Just a little safety thing that is overlooked. may have to adjust as necessary.

I'm not sure what you are talking about "T Bolts" ?

That is the style of clamps holding the driveline cover on. If not installed correctly, the long end of the bolt can stick out & catch on your boots, pants, etc. while trying to get in & out of the seat.

Since that picture was taken they were rotated to the bottom of the tube an no part of the clamp sticks out to catch on any clothing.

I have been sitting in the vehicle and where has to be adjsutments made to the steering wheel, throttel pedal, fire bottle release, and brake pedal.

Hi Glenn,
I'm really enjoying following your build, seeing all of the cool pictures and videos. You've done a great job and the dragster is first class. Post some vids when you get her out to the track. We wanna see that smile on your face after you motor down the 1320.

That will be done. If I can wait I will be doing that the first day Empire opens, if not I will go to Virgina for the Best of Times.

Just be safe. Make a few easy passes and remember, if she gets out of shape at all, don't push it.

You bet, never driven a dragster and still need to be Licensed.

I have a friend that has been around dragsters a long time (owns an alcohol injected dragster) that has volunteered to be crew chief until he gets his new engine built.

Virginia has several good points, both are two different freinds that would also be there. Both run dragsters, one of which is in the middle of an engine rebuild and is willing to travel there as a crew chief. The othe ris going there anyway to run his dragster. We will see. I am leaning towards waiting until Empire opens here because if i get there and something is wrong I have only traveled an hour.

Which track in Virgina Glen ??
Maybe I can run interference for ya ...
Been following your build since it started. Very cool rod..
Maybe touch base with Paul Spotts .....he does well with his digger.
I remember our old club built altered....launch it.....if it went straight stay in it....any wiggle....ABORT... and it had nowhere near your power.

Ok, had another unofficial car nuts meeting today, there will be no meetings Wednesday, Thursday or Friday

The load date has not yet been picked, Saturday the temperature is supposed to get to 32, Sunday a little warmer and Monday they are saying 36. I am leaning towards Saturday as we are ready and that has been a normal official meeting day. I still want to wait and see what Tuesday is supposed to be like

We finished the tail light wiring, made the pig tail so the light can be on at the show, got the CO2 bottle installed (charged), finish incasing the wiring harness, installed the rod catch pan and the two lower rear body panels (they had never been on the vehicle). Only one Quarter-Turn Fastener Button springs had to be twicked. All the rest of the body panels went on with very little effort

The tail light is on in pictures DSCN127 & 128

Take a look at the pictures they tell the story better than I can.

I am limited to the number of pictures that can be posted here. I have added a bunch more of the body on my web site, see this link.

Did a couple of little things today on the dragster.

One of those was to get it up on scales.

The fire bottles are not in the dragster as I am getting ready for the trip to Indiana and do not want them to freeze, and I am not in it.

Turns out it is a lot lighter in weight than thought.

Total weight is 1505, left front is 160, right front is 181, left rear is 605, right rear is 559.

Weight bias front to rear is 77.3

Weight bias side to side is 49.1
