How about a REAL DYNO print-out with cell conditions, acceleration rates, actual torque and HP numbers vs BSDC numbers, etc. Something that Stan W can get his teeth into for his calculations.

Tom V.

(I could create a excel document with HP and torque numbers vs rpm in 20 minutes that would say my 64 Chassis car made 2000 hp.)

... and yet again, same bias behavior from you Tom, why haven't you asked Jack for his dyno sheet ?? ...

... and i can promise you, after all the design flaw related crap you've spewed about these heads, you are the last person we'd ever ask or want to calculate anything, you really couldn't have been more wrong about the CV-1 head Tom ...

... your opinion is honestly worth about to any CV-1 guy, myself included ...

... and i thought the vertical entry intake ports (straight up & down) of your billet heads was kinda cute too, considering you have a billet tunnel ram and twin dominators bolted to them ...

... now go ahead and call someone and ask them wth I'm talking about, because i know you won't have a clue ...

Wow, you are so smart you should open up your own engine building shop and make yourself rich instead of working for someone else and making them more money.

Tom,
It is easy enough. What do you want it to say?

I do have a serious question here-- do the modifications and changes you did on these heads -- to get the results that you did, confirm that the early production heads had significant deficiencies that you had to resolve OR were they closer than many thought and you were able to get these numbers with moderate changes to the originals ???

Come on Curt- don't spoil all the fun being had in these threads by trying to gain some actual knowledge!

... great question Curt, but i would ask if "significant deficiencies" could be corrected by simply porting the head ? ...

... because that's all i did, was figure out how this head wants to be ported, valves, chambers, seat registers, spring bases, water jackets, valve cover rail and deck surface were all intact and in original locations ...

... the most radical work done was the RacePlates on the exhaust side, and other than a change to the first few castings exhaust port, the CV-1 castings have not been changed, yet ...

... a porters casting was also added but that was the same head with more material left inside the ports, nothing else was done ...

... but i would not call my porting to this set of heads moderate, it is a fair amount of work, they look very different afterwards ...
