Nothing new here really. Same stuff.
Rumors I hear is he has the new CNC chamber Wide Port E heads that go 400+cfm and will run them with a new solid block in his car for the main engine.
And l put the CV engine together for a back up/testing.
He has made his name on the E head Pontiac engine, got him to the top. But he also has to be a business man with sponsors. Got some free stuff from the CV people and why not try it out on his old block IMO.
You would think he would do what is best for himself.
I guess we will all find out how for he goes with CV vs E heads. We all have televisions.
Then find out how true the rumors are.
As long as he stays Pontiac I am OK. Go 481X and he will just have a "who cares" car to a lot of people.
Having a real Pontiac is one of the reasons he is cool.

True, we don’t need anyone else jumping ship and going to 481xs, speaking of a friend of mine sent me pics of a nice 68 Firebird from PRI, it was my BFF, Robin Roberts car, 481x and all!
After he saw the Chevy in it, he just kept walking.

Marty P. Went 6.95 with some D ports with Turbos 20 years ago.
I heard Turbos will make anything run.

So, that won't hold up in court, since it's hearsay. But we're not revealing the names of any employees who may have picked up the phone and alerted interested parties as to the events unfolding.

Why not ask the principals involved? Ask Mr. Butler. Ask Roland.

I'm 100% confident in my friend's honestly and information.

But I can understand skepticism. You would not want to believe this is true. I didn't want to even think it possible in this small Pontiac community.

Yes,i am skeptical. But i know things can change, and money corrupts. Unless i was there, and heard what was said,i can't righteously judge a matter fairly. I did contact butler, but haven't heard from them yet,it's not likely i will post anything on the forum though.

Wish he had that stuff back about 8 years ago when I built my stroker '09. Some of the Z-11 stuff makes RAV stuff look cheap.

You have a point there George. If i recall, AMC heads were released before Pontiac heads, maybe Olds too. Might have been Summit or Jegs input to Edelbrock that influenced the decision as to who 1st. At least we eventually got them and they were good.

Is there anybody making a Traditional Pontiac V8 component that hasn’t been drug through the mud or put on blast by some Pontiac enthusiast on a Pontiac forum?

Nope, I have only talked with him twice. Nice guy. I did not and would not bring up something like the CVs with him. Too controversial and don't know him well enough anyway.
It would be the last time he told me anything and I know it.

He may very well go all in on the CVs, but.... It has been posted from the top around here that he recently got a new block and heads that were not yours. He has a lot invested in the E heads for his program and it makes sense that he would try out the best E heads yet.
You know he will have 500+ more HP with a best wide ports vs his old std set. And he was top dog with the 350 head.

He still has the Crowmod. Thinking your stuff will end up there first. JMO that's all.
Its a risk going with your stuff for the big show.
Has anyone made big, big twin turbo power with your heads and lived ?
Thats a question and I will accept your answer.
Now this stuff about CVs and Butler, don't know a thing about it and would not post anyway if I did.

Bruce,
Since I don't remember. Did Edelbrock or Indy bring the AMC head to market first?

... umm, Chief owns a set of CV-1's, the only person between you and him discussing them feeling it's "too controversial" is you not Chief, he would've gladly answered any questions you asked him about them ...

... you say him running the CV-1's is a risk ?? risk for who ?? there's absolutely no chance that CV-1 top end does not out power his current EHeads, it's not even going to be close, there have been other boost combos to show that already, for example Brian Hedrick picked up close to 200hp over his BES ported EHeads and that was with Gen 1 as cast CV-1's, you can't seriously believe my CV-330 head won't blow the doors off the EHeads Chief is currently running ?? ...

... and you honestly think these new WP Eddies will gain him 500hp+?? ...

Nope. Funny thing it is usually the same people blasting each company and they can't fall out of a tree themselves.
