Default 70 TA WIW

Came across a 70 T/A and seller is looking for a quick sale but not exactly cheap coin.
Trying to see a fair / realistic value. Seems prices are all over the place on 70's. Here's what we know:
1 owner till about a month ago
45k on the clock
Base 400 motor backed by M20 4 spd to 3.73 rear. Assumed #'s
White w/ blue interior
JW rims
Untouched sans for some paint work below the beltline. Has rock chips from being driven.
Car is actually very clean, no rust. Red primer still good on underside.

Is this a 20k, 30k 40K, ??k car?

Hard to say without seeing pictures but if it's all numbers matching, only 45 k and no rust and body is in it's original condition, that car is worth good money. I would say easy somewhere between 30 to 40 but without seeing any pictures and not seeing it in person I am just going from your description. Would be a nice car to restore especially in that condition and if all numbers matched.

3:73 would be an M-21 car I believe and highly desirable even with the RA III.

Assuming all the components are orig. and still there my guess would be 30-35K if it is turn key and presentable. Missing high dollar one year parts that have been swapped out would be the one wild card. Also as mentioned the nicer the condition the higher the $. My 2 cents for what it is worth, and I have almost the same car in project minus form.

If its a nice driver with good paint I would say in the 30's. If it need paint go down from there.

What it is worth and what people on the PY 70-73 Forum would feel good paying are actually two different things. We all "deal" in these cars to some degree or another.

My worthless two bits: Worth 40ish K maybe, Like To Pay 30ish K maybe.

He didn't disclose but mentioned he was very happy with the selling price of 42500. I would be too. From conversation and his excitement, it seems he stole the car from the original 83 yr old owner and made a killing. Car came out of Eastern PA somewhere. Stated the buyer was someone that knew the car. I dont condone anyone form making a buck but this type of thing ruins the hobby. I would have liked to have had the car prior to this guy, I dont think I would have flipped it but kept it to enjoy as the rest of my fleet. At 42.5k its still cheaper than restoring one...food for thought.

Only thing that pissed me off was he seemed to want to rub it in my face what he sold it for and that I missed out on the car. Jerk. While I wouldnt mind owning it, I felt it was too much $ to pay personally but probably not out of line. For that coin, I'd buy a nice C6 Z06.

I'm sure you'll see this car again for sale.

Anything "nice" seems to be in the $40-65k range from the few I do see for sale these days....up from the $20-30's only 2-3 years ago. I'm referring to 70-73 T/A's.
Thanks to all the flippers maybe??
