I must have looked at 20 1962 GP's and they are all 4 speed cars. I thought 4 speeds were rare. I'm looking for a 1962 Pontiac that's an AT.

Only about 12% of 1962 Gran Prixs had manual transmissions (3,639 out of 30,195, and that includes both three and four speed cars, so even fewer had four on the floor). It's probably a matter of what cars were saved over time. Four speed cars would have been considered more special and worthwhile keeping. This one is a handsome car.

IMO that is a tad high for todays market but that IS a nice car.

Thats about twice as much money I have been seeing for them. People are seeing too many cars on auction sites.

I would say that if someone wanted a real nice one that is a 30K car in my book.Mine is a driver quality and a converted to 4 speed I I know I can sell it for 22 tomorrow and not near as nice "from" the pics.JMHO,Tom
PS,mine is on the cover of the OPGI GP current catalog.
