Default Steering Column Codes

Anyone know how to decipher the code on the steering column. I have a few in my shop and am curious about them.
I think one of them reads as follows:
9 a 192

Originally they had a two letter code as seen on the broadcast sheet. If I recall it was a paper decal. Box 60 of the broadcast sheet had the code and color of the column listed.

Thanks, on the column in question the code is stamped into the metal near the base just above the firewall plate. I assumed the 9 may be for 1979, A-maybe the month? 192-? Colour? or A-colour? 192 day of the year? I have a couple of build sheets I will see if they correlate any way.

Related as an FYI, underneath the foam gasket on the bottom end of the firewall plate was a green paint marker check mark. Def. a factory thing.
