Default Space Saver Inflator bottle

Is the inflator bottle for 77 and 78 TA’s the long blue bottle or a red one? And are they just slid into a cardboard sleeve or glued in? I have the tires but not the inflator bottles to complete the trunk compartments.

Thanks in advance!

A pic is on your space saver glove box info.
The one you wanted from me was the one, had the cap too.

Do you have a picture of your red one? Someone gave Mike a red one that needs resto so I’m not sure if it’s the correct one for a 77 TA.

I'm not disturbing mine, since to my knowledge it's never been out of the trunk. Here is an image of one from a thread on these bottles..

I had a '77 T/A that I bought from original owner in '78. It had the red inflator bottle.

I still have my "inflator" tire and bottle, I think my bottle is red, also, it's buried back in my garage, somewhere... Not too many years after having bought my car new, I found a "doughnut" spare that I have carried in car, since. I did not want to have to potentially use the inflator spare, not knowing if it could be used more than once, and if the bottle could be recharged. I knew I was going to keep the car.....

I put mine and the spare back in the trunk to slow us down to meet the roll bar rule!

My 77 came with a blue bottle. I've owned the car for 20 years but it could have been changed. Inflatable spare was unused though. They are both put away in storage.

Per a SME on 1977 Trans Ams:

The trunk is as delivered from the Norwood factory, including the original bottle.
