Pics of 67 wagon I used to own
pics of 4 barrel sprint engined wagon. I think this is 1 of 30 wagons with the 4 barrel engine and automatic it also had the ride and handling package with 3:55 rear axle.

I would have kept it, bet it rode nice, how did that add on ac work??

I had a 4dr that would have been the sister car to that
same color,same options but mine was a factory a/c car. Sadly a very large pine tree blew over in one of our hurricanes and flattened the rear half of car. 67 was the only year you could order the 4 bbl OHC-6 in any A body. It was not the Sprint option package.

Nice Car. Where did it end up? I know a guy who has one that I have been tracking for a few years. It is now located out near D.C. area in a collection. Rare cars indeed!

SPRINT 4-DOORS & WAGONS
Cammer is correct in the fact that for some reason 67 was the only year Pontiac offered the OHC 4bbl engine in any of the Tempest Lemans models, both 4-door & wagon. It wasn’t listed as a Sprint engine it was a high performance 6 offering.
That being said there are known/documented 67 4 door Sprints out there, so as with anything Pontiac never say never. The Blue wagon is also an HO OHC6 ordered in 67' like the one above.

that blue 4dr isnt a Sprint(only a 4bbl)
I supplied the emblems to him for "conversion" BTW that is still a very rare car,as are all others listed in this thread.

I stand corrected.
I went back to re-check the article and it seems the Aug 95 HPP article with Fred’s car written by Jeff Koch is carefully written but refers to it as a Sprint and I “assumed” based on the badges. But you right it is 1 of 3 4dr HO OHC6 just with add on Sprint emblems. Still a very unique Pontiac but seemingly they IMO sort of deceive the facts.

One reason why I bought the gold 4 dr a/c car was a mate to FS car.
He got some parts from it after its demise.

So, what was the difference between the Sprint and the 4bbl OHC6? Got a friend that has another '67 wagon with the OHC6.

I bet the engine was same for cost purposes, but the car had options not found on wagons...susp. stickers..
