Thumbs up how many quarts of oil?

how many qts of oil does a 10 bolt 8.2 take? and how do i pour it in ive tried to put 2 qts already and its just drooping out.

I'm not sure of the capacity....it might be 2.5 to 3 qts. I use a funnel with a hose at the end that will fit into the hole.

Full capicity on ALL gears/axels with a side plug is when it starts to run out of the hole. A tool called a slurp gun is what's designed for filling gear boxes. Even with a slurp gun, it's a nasty job, involving some spill.

Go to your local discount hardware store, and in the plumming section, buy a lenght of clear plastic hose that will fit snuggly on the nipple of of the axle lube bottle. You might want to get a hose long enough so that you can insert it in the axle opening, and run it along the car so that you can have the fill bottle higher than the rear.

well i could only put in about a little less than 2 qts of the oil.

axle has to be installed and on level ground to fill properly.

well thats prob what i did wrong it was elevated from the rear, duh less oil
