ok i turn off the engine and some smoke comes off, as most of you guys can see the exhaust isnt on ive been waiting for over a month for my super compe to come in.

Measure the hole and install a small core plug.

That is the A.I.R. injection port machine hole. It should be tapped I beleive. Just put a plug in it.

what exactly is the A.I.R. Injection port mqchine hole?

Emission stuff,used an air pump with it.
1967 was the last year for that.
You don't need it, so I'd plug it.

sweet, only reason i took it off was because i kne w it was taking up at least 5 or more hp not knowing what it w, but i knew it would be ok because theres o lot of FB's without it.

A.I.R. is the Air-Injection-Reaction system. The port leads to a small opening in each exhaust port. The pump (when system was all there) pushed air (about 22% oxygen) into the hot exhaust, to help burn off hydrocarbon emissions.

Weren't the California cars the only ones that came with the AIR pump? I believe you can get some good money out of that pump from someone wanting to restore a CA car.
