I'm stil waitng to see what the real fix is for the heat soak issue on the intake temp. I know my car at the Southen Nats ran two 133.56s and ALOT of 14.2-14.60s. Hard to brakcet race not knowing which time the car wil run, but then I have the TA for racing anyway. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

How does a composite intake "heat soak"? Seems like the rest of the LS1 racing crowd would have this one fixed by now?

The '04 SAP rear facia pictured above looks like it will only work with the SAP rocker moulding. It also appears to have the "GTO" script between the pipe exits... That is something I want to avoid. But other than that, it looks better than the '05 stocker to me.

Anyway, I have another month or so before I get the car, so when I do I will have a better idea about what parts I want to sell/swap. If I decide to do any deals, you will know about it here and LS1GTO.

The intake air sensor heat soaks. The intake tube runs right beside the radiator. Not a good spot for cool air. Hot air mixture computer tells it to pull LOTS of timing out.

Other LS1s take in air form a different spot.

I wrapped my intake with insulation, the kind that you would wrap around your starter. It helped with the heat soak issue because the insulation protects the sensor somewhat.
