Default End needle sticks closed

The floats and needles on my 61 Tri-Power do not have the springs or clips that hold the float arm to the bottom of the needle. Part of the time one of the needles sticks closed. Does anyone have a source for just the clips to connect the two. Then the weight of the float will open the needle.

Almost every Tri-Power carb kit has the clips to hold the needles to the float arms.

As the float drops the extra weight of the float will always "unstick" the rubber needle tips from the seat 9if you have that kind of needle and seat).

With 15% ethanol (Jon H calls it 'Deathanol') the rubber tips can be stuck tighter to the seat due to swelling. A steel tip needle easily cures that deal but it might not seal perfectly either. If the tips are viton then you should be ok.

Cool There are two sources I would check with for the clips alone:

First choice is Jon at The Carburetor Shop (posts here as 'carbking') 573-392-7378. I like to support the other guys here on the forums who share their knowledge with all of us.

Second is Carb Junky's in Atlanta 770-457-8570. I've purchased small parts from them in the past when I didn't need a complete kit or kits.

The new 'deathanol' fuel SUCKS when you don't drive your car every day!

Good luck!

OK, I did some internet digging. Carbs Unlimited has a part number CUD3623, it is a 10 pack of the spring clips. With shipping all 10 got to my door for $7.87.
