Looks to be a 2bbl air cleaner? Manual brakes and steering.

[QUOTE=thews;6431608]Interesting... 1980 Pontiac Bonneville "Buford T. Justice" clone at $18K in Texas. I know the Smokey and the Bandit T/A, but not this car. Pics I found on the interweb were a 77 Lemans. The front seats look odd without a pattern.
There was like 8 bandit movies (unfortunately) so its certainly possible an '80 was in there...

[QUOTE=thews;6431575]73 Trans AM Brewster green dealer car in Nebraska at $80K BIN. I love the 73 green T/A as it's just so different than anything else in 1973. This is a nice car, but IMO it's not worth $80K. It looks stock (cool), but has
Beautiful...yes, 80 is out of the range but good luck whoever... What's yer beef with 6x? Was 4x stock?

I don't have an issue with 6X heads and you can get them to run well on pump gas. IMO, if you don't have an original engine you have options. The most expensive is to get a "numbers correct" engine, though I don't think that translates into a good ROI to buy a rare engine on most cars. If you're going to build a Pontiac engine, you can get Edelbrock aluminum heads that will allow you to run extra compression without pinging. Just sayin' on this car, I'd put some Edelbrock round ports and some repro exhaust manifolds. I mean, they are asking $80K for it.

73 Formula Firebird in NC at $40K BIN. Ascot silver with a red interior looks incredible; it actually looks like Champagne. The industry standard "400-4" sticker blows, but this combo looks like awesome to me.

You're right. I noticed the air cleaner and just dismissed it as being incorrect but could very well be a factory 2bbl car.

What's the value difference between a 2BBL NM GTO and a standard NM 400 GTO?

Must be significant, I’m sure some people would like it as a novelty but the potential buyer pool must drop by at least 80-90%

69 Firebird convertible dealer car in Michigan at $80K BIN. Seller claims to have $160K in receipts and I don't doubt that. Completed in 2010, it sort of embodies ultimate hot rods at the time. Has a crate 502 CI 502HP "Ram Jet EFI" engine (I don't know what this is other than it's FI). The car has chrome accents and a custom interior. I feel unsafe driving my 69 Friebird convert around town. No shoulder harness and it feels like a 50 year old car. This car is prolly fun to drive, but I'm not sure I'd want to get on it and let er' rip. Nice car, but stuff like chrome front springs is really unnecessary and just adds cost.

80 Firebird Formula project car. For what it is, it's not in bad shape regarding the body. The seller is potentially moving and needs to move this. Also states "a ton of parts" go with it. $1K NR in Ohio. One thing it has going for it if you're going to make a T/A clone out of a car like this is that it's not a T-Top. I have an 80 T/A I'm putting a 72 nose on and painting in Lucy Blue (has a red interior). Mine has a T-Top. I sort of wish it didn't, but it doesn't leak. Ever ridden in a T/A with the T-Tops off? Air comes straight down on you. I owned an 80 Maroon Turbo back in the early 80's and it had T-Tops. I think I took them off maybe once.

68 Firebird 400 convertible in CA at BIN $42K. CA black and yellow plate car.... Homer drool. Steering wheel sucks, but the rest of the car rocks. My untrained eye says the passenger's side front was hit at some point... I doesn't quite line up. Am I wrong?

Nothing wrong with your eyes. Even the parking light is tweaked

Description on the car aligns with the story. Very early car, Sept 68. Early Custom trim was non-knitweave. Also said "ordered every available option", it's very well equipped, but they missed a few. I see no power seat, those came later in model year.
Pretty special to see all the documentation with it. |

Well that's an interesting look with the standard Lemans front, a painted chrome bumper and the T41 hood. I've never been a fan of these half baked clones. Way better leaving it a LeMans convert.

I dunno, I'll disagree. I don't like the Judge wing and graphics, but the black paint is nice. If you remove the rear wing and graphics and added some real 15" Honeycombs it would really pop. That interior is an awesome color.
