Metal upper dash on my 69' is flaking so I'd like to re-spray.
Car's body and interior are both green .. Windshield and interior are out so It's a good time to tackle this. Any suggestions where I could get color in a 12oz rattle can? Midnight Green #57 Dupont 9582LH Ditzler 43993 0% gloss Thanks! Mike MA |

Did you try Tower Paint? I got it from them by giving them the number.

These folks will make you as few or as many cans as you want.
https://www.automotivetouchup.com/to...69/all-models/ I used them for my 63 wagon interior and they made me up 4 cans of single stage, Good luck, James Q

Another option. https://kolorkorrect.com/. Not cheap, but even the rattle cans I bought sprayed very well.
Customer service is awesome. She even had them spray some test panels for me to check.

It's been a while but Tower did a great job on a green aerosol lacquer when I changed steering columns.
I told them it was a 1970 with trim code 246 and provided a Ditzler code 44173 I found online somewhere. I asked for "low gloss". The column on top is what they sent from that info, bottom is my original. |

You can buy a Prevail sprayer and get the paint mixed at an automotive paint store and mix it yourself. They even come with a cap for the glass jar to keep the mix fir a time.

I used quite a few of those Preval sprayers in the past for epoxy primer touch ups and that sort of thing and also when I was heavy into the radio control airplane hobby but the last couple that I used weren't so good. Had some splatter and that sort of stuff. I don't trust them anymore for a finish coat when I can use a good touch up gun.
I still have several of those jars though because they're great for storing mixed paint and primers and they have that handy measuring grid on the side for mixing.

Thank you. Do you have a link for the tower paint company?

Looks like maybe they got sold?
Used to be www.apstowerpaint.com When I enter that now, it redirects to a company called Finishmaster. You could call them, but doesn't seem they offer the same line.. Maybe someone else knows what happened to them and can provide a link if they are still in business or sold their product line... Darn, they were reasonable and I was happy with the product. Mike |
