Kirban 2 cents worth:

I just glanced at a bunch of these requests on various pages that owners are seeking. It's like a huge Christmas wish list. Looking at it from a manufacturer stand point, and sinc I started back in 1978. For the GTO model its amazing how much has been reproduced. Even stuff I made has been made superior to what we did originally.

Prime example would be all the radiator shrouds. Ones we made were not a thing of beauty but they sure solved the issue most of the cooling issues.,

As a reproduction company its all about numbers. Cost factor is weighed against what numbers would sell to recoup the investment and come out a head.

Here is just one small example from my experience from about 22 plus years ago. We did the very first made in the USA small plastic emergency 1964-1967 brake handle.

A handle that at best could retail for $10-$15 at the most. The cost for the mold in the USA was 5 grand....before one part was made....5 grand. The GTO 1964-67 I believe took a pressed on handle. Turns out the Chevelle took the same identical handle but was screwed on....had that not been the same I would never have made the handle.

The Buick and Olds I believe was slightly different. Same handle one was threaded one was press on...bingo...5 grand investment worked out.

On another note I just worked with a major company and now available is aluminum brake drums fits all the a-f-g body cars...nobody I repeat no other company has made them.....we sell them to several vendors already.

Another item you may or may not know is available for 1969-1989 all model GM cars we are the sole agent working with ECS Automotive for the door VIN decal(s). This is a critical part to any restoration as the decals from 1975 thru 1989 are on special tamper proof paper. These are 100% correct. Only one source can do them complete and we are the agent for them.

We offer this to various GM suppliers so far several Corvette companies offer it as Corvette owners recognize the importance of the VIN decal on their door.

Two good products....again its all about numbers....

As far as the 1964 wood wheel that would be a good one because while it is only correct on a 1964 GTO it will fit nicely on the 1965-66 and even though it would not be correct it looks the best of all those years.

Reminds me when we did the chrome ralley I wheels. Never factory correct but they looked really good against a black GTO....

No Ames made al new correct molds...all the 1964 thru 1968 GTO radiator shrouds we made for many many years were made in fiberglass so they had a rough inside.

The company that made most of ours shrouds has as their clients disney, sesame street pep boys. Huge clients.

The use to make the huge Pep Boy figures you see on top of Pep Boy Bldgs....

I started to get shrouds made back in 1978-79....

Here is my answer to colored rubber floor mats that are not reproduced. When I restored my '66 in 2005, we dyed mats in what I believe was the correct mocha brown to match the dash pad. I didn't like the look of them, so after 10 years and 6 months, I dyed them gold to match the rest of the interior.

That dye job looks really good. What did you use? Does the color get worn off?

I got the paint on ebay from the Parts Place. The previous dye was done by the resto shop, and the mats still looked brand new after 10 years. The shop also did mats for my '65 convertible in Saddle, and dyed the boot cover in saddle. I didn't use the boot cover for 14 years because I was scared to scratch my paint, and when I went to use it, something had nicked off some of the paint, so I ordered a can from the Parts Place on ebay and touched it up. I also used the blue paint for my '64 convertible to freshen up the door panel carpet, and dash and tops of doors. The color was exact to the hidden area behind the dash fasica.

Default super 400 hood

This is the super 400 hood, I believe it was originally made by Paul Spotts Performance.

Yep I've seen those before on firebirds.

The one I'm talking about made by a different company still "appears" stock, scoops are not exaggerated. It just has a mild bow towards the middle, and at a casual glance looks stock, yet clear the Victor intake with a 2" super sucker and drop base air cleaner.

Here's a pic first installed.

How about a back drive or reverse lockout linkage kit for an early 2nd gen bird with an automatic floor shift?

All I see reproduced at the moment are back drive linkage kits for 4-speeds.

Default Pass side outside mirror to match dr side remote for 65 Lemans

Would like a pass side outside mirror to look like dr side remote, the factory made one that looked like the remote but was static. Pontiac part # was 9775629
