Default Tri-Y Update

I'll have most of the current order built by Tue of next week. Which is the day of the week the coater starts there cycle. I'll have the remainder of the order finished around the end of the week for the few un-coated sets & have ready the rest of the ones for the next Tue for the coater.

This way I don't miss a week of getting some coated. Then they will be shipped in the order of the date that they were ordered. I don't think that Thanks Giving is going to pose much of a delay.

There will only be 3 extra sets over the ones that are paid for available. Since the flanges are not on them yet they can be D or O-ports. So if anyone wants a set now's the time to get it. If all goes well I'll be working on the other things I'll have out soon maybe until after the 1st of the year.

I have had problems getting my web site up & hope to get it up soon with all the info on new & coming products. When I do it will be added to my signature on the posts.

If you want one of the 3 sets email is record7jet@aol.com

Ron, good to hear from you. I finally got my car up and running. The combination of the Crower solid cam, filled crossovers, Tri-y's, Pypes X-pipe and Magnaflows sounds awsome and unlike most of the Pontiacs I hear. No header leaks and everything is easy to get at. I ended up going back to your bolts as they work fine with the included washers added. The mechanical clutch linkage has plenty of room. I didn't have to do any "tweaking" to the headers at all so I wish I would have just had them coated to begin with.

Anyway, they will be coming out to be coated over the winter so after you get done taking care of those folks waiting for their headers, can you hook a brother up with a new set of gaskets??

I have been unable to find a set of replacements do not hang all out from the flange like your do. I suspect that I can get them from D_ _ gs but would rather deal with you if possible.

Formula8,

I'll get a set of gaskets out to you next week. But you'll have to send a pic of the car when finished. Still have the same address?

Larry Navarro,

gearbanger,

Thanks Ron, Let me know how much I owe you and I'll send you a check. Same address. No rush get the other folks their headers first.

If the Tri-Ys work well in the Bird chassis when are you looking to do the 64-67 A Body cars?

There's supposed to be a set of round ports in this run for my '66 GTO.

Did you get my PM I sent you? There are only a few F-body headers in this batch. The rest are 64'-72' A-body's.

soupman,
Great Chris, would love to see the car.

goatless,
Your correct there mostly A-body's.

73ta,
Your only 40min away & Fritz is only 25min away. That means I may just deliver them myself. If the cars in the air when I get there I'll even help put them in.

Formula8,
I understand you not wanting them coated after you helped verify the fit problems that the header Co "wouldn't fess up to" on the first run. Boy what a PITA month that was!
So don't worry about it I appreciate your help on it. Otherwise If you didn't help they would had dragged it on for months longer with nothing but excuses, arguing & $1000's more from me to try & prove it.

Hey Ron,

It's great to see that everything has finally come together. I can't wait to get it installed and get my crossflow system on. I've been viewing the cars in the downloads sections to here it and get my fix. LOL! With the nice weather we've been having we have to have a cruise once we both get our cars back on the road.

I'll talk to you soon!

Hi Craig,

A cruise would be great but I'll have to use my mini van. I don't know if I'll have the Formula anymore by then.

And for all you guys with 4-speeds, you can re-install your original backdrive linkage and get your backup lights working again! I'm just about finished fabricating a new backdrive linkage on my '71, and everythings works fine! As stated in earlier threads, these headers, with a set of 2.5" pipes running into an "X" crossover and then Magaflows before exiting out the rear sound like no other Pontiac around here! It is a deep, throaty sound that is all motor, with no "tinging" sound at all. I've been told the car sounds like it has 600 hp, although it does not. It does sound like a million $$$, though. I've had my set since last December (original order), and am extremely pleased with it. I have never hit the collectors, even over some decent speed bumps. They extend below the subframe about 3/4 of an inch - thats it!!! Once again, thank you to Ron! Awesome job!!!

Alan
