I put mine in but will reorder.........66 rag top, stick & trips or 4bbl. Triple black, or black black white interior. No White, Red, or Green for sure! What colors do you have for 66'? I'm on the east coast so maybe we could get a deal on transport, all meet the transport with our trailers in a central location. Dave K.

I have never owned a GTO...couldn't afford one in '88 when I was 16 so I bought a '64 Tempest. Then I got bitten by the pull of '62 Big Pontiacs. Three years ago I got up to 11 units and have since whittled the fleet down to five. In addition to needing to pay off some bills, I started realizing that the ones I eventually sold were better off being enjoyed by someone without an old car who would drive 'em. The ones I parted out were too far gone to save.

Question for the original poster: What do you want more: to see these go to good homes (possibly for less than market value) or do you want them gone en masse at (or slightly higher than) market price (given existing condition)?

Either way, good luck on your sale; I hope they weathered the years gracefully!

I'd love a '65 or '67 convertible. '65 with a 4 speed. '67 with a TH400 (for the old lady).

I am ready to dive into another project, but not really financially ready. Nor do I have the space right now. I'd trade off my motorcycle for a nice non-rusty project though

Rock, too bad it's not an 'Eliminator'. I'd sell my soul for one of those.

A little off topic but if a few of you guys are interested in an original paint 390 4V auto Cougar my friend has a 67 XR7 that is 100 % rust free and has leather interior, original color is a very light creme (almost white) and I think the interior is a dark green leather. Car has misc. door dings but it is rock solid. The car just sits in his garage. PM me if you would like additional details and or contact information.

I wish I could afford it for my wife. She had a '67 when we met and I had a '68 GTO. Her's was the same color except saddle interior and with a black painted top. 289 hi performance with chrome breather. Pristine original condition car.
I sold it for $200 after she got hit by a lady in an Eldorado. I always regretted it because it only needed the right front fender replaced but mainly because the guy I sold it to totally ruined it within 6 months.

Greg, This car is in amazing original condition. I really like the factory sequential tail lights, very trick and original. The body is as rustfree as one could ever want, the interior is like brand new, glass is flawless, engine compartment is exceptional for not being detailed. It has factory mags on it that are quite unique with Firestone SS Radials. And with the factory paint still it is very nice except for the misc. door dings. The dings are very small but several of them, must have been another vehicle parked next to it in its earlier days and they kept dinging the Cougar when they got in and or out of somehting else. I know it has not recived one dent while in John's possesion, very careful guy. He has owned this car forever and yet it just sits in the garage waiting patiently for attention.

I used to have a '68 Cougar... I didn't know much about them when I went to look at it, but when he showed me the sequential turn signals I was hooked. The original design had a motor driven cam that activated the different connections. (Of course, they did steal the idea from the Thunderbird.)

With enough info and pics, I think you could realistically sell 4-6 cars right on this forum. Do it thru PM's and email and your location doesn't need to go world wide. I would be very cautious about letting this get big too fast, as you know yourself, that security would become a huge issue. DO NOT sell them out of the barn. Once you have an interested party in a specific car, have it flatbedded to another location for inspection. Once you've sold as many as possible here, start the restoration on the one that Dad wants and continue selling off others, one at a time. As has been evidenced by the responses here, these cars pretty much sell themselves to true Pontiac people. I'm not a convert guy, I prefer hardtops but would love to find an original car that was far more complete than the basket case I started with and have 6k into as it sits. Even in this economy, a reasonably priced car in complete, original condition will sell. I believe a number of yours could be drivers with the minimum of safety and reliabilty restoration.

Good Luck and try to have fun with this. You're going to meet a LOT of people...
