I did a cursory internet search on that number and various other key words, nothing so far. You never know ... someone may have it for sale, or could be in an add for a car that has engine number included.

It's a black interior car. I believe a company car or something for PMD Engineering. I bought the car with a 70-"400" block and 670 heads. It needs freshening up. Just thought I would take a very long shot and see if I could find the original block.

Years ago there was a website for try to join up MIA drivetrains, but not sure if it worked out & couldn't find the website. Of coarse there are so many full time dedicated scammers out there, it would probably be a though thing to verify with exception to the real car guys of course.

I am sure many missing engines had some sort of carnage that caused their replacement, but can't help but wonder how many of those engines are still sitting in some shed somewhere.

What would be nice is some sort of database where a person can enter a vin, casting number, etc & it will let you know if there is a registered match. That way all that info isn't searchable by the scammers claiming they have your engine, or are ready to falsely stamp one for you....

Wallace Racing web site has a lost engine section. You submit the engine you are looking for .. not sure what happens after that.

I think Wallace might be the one I saw. Was that setup like 15 years ago or so?

Been there a long time I know that.

I end up donating like $10 to the site every couple of years when I "rediscover" it again and find some info I need
