does anyone have photoshop?
Does anyone here have photoshop - or a good program something like photoshop?
I am wondering if a picture of this can be edited to pull up the otherwise faded part numbers. I can zip and email a larger file if anyone is willing to try a hand at it. It looks like humidity or moisture has made the ink run and fade. ..incase you're curious it was a fun "bonus" item which was included in an eBay purchase that I recently brought home (some of my purchases sold by sellers who will not send to Canada await me at my cousin's in Oregon); It's an NOS 1978+ Trans Am Fender(?) decal. Probably not worth a penny, but it's a neat item none the less.

I gave it a try, but there's not enough color information in the photo to really do a whole lot with. I think the bottom number is 3410005155.

ok - thanks!
I offered to email a zipped up version of the photo because I already reduce the size by fifty percent (or more) before attempting to upload here - then it's invariably downsized again at the time of upload.

I'll send you a DM with my email address. Size isn't that big of an issue, just the quality and amount of data in the photo itself. Worth a shot though.

Jon, when you open the box & examine the masked decal, there will be the part number on the mask. If for some insane reason that printed part number is illegible, it's time to carefully peel up a small corner of the outer mask of the decal, After confirming the color, can then access a close dated Pontiac Master Parts book in Group 8.132, (maybe 8.130) & get the official color name & part #.

Try using the "invert colors" option on it .
I think most basic picture editors have that option . |

thanks - oph;
I was hoping that something more might have been pulled from the image, so that I could print it off, and put in the box. I don't at this time have plans to sell it - I figure it's more of a curiosity than anything useable - but I figured the information being readable on the box tab would only add to this. While I was posting this (post #1) I did notice that the part number was on the decal backing; I chose to leave that off my initial post incase it might have made someone disincline to help - I wasn't concerned with identifying the decal, or the specific part number, but instead I have understood (and it appears that in this case) box tabs generally have three lines of information printed on it; I don't always know what the printed info means, but it would be nice to see. I don't have access to any program that can do this.

Edit: On second viewing... it does look like 1# now so this doesn't seem to be the case here
