350 HO
Hello all,
I'm new to this so bare with me. I just recently found a 1969 Pontiac Lemans that I don't even have at my house yet but I'm getting close. My question is since I'm new to Pontiac muscle cars is how rare is the 350 HO? The car I'm buying has been in storage for 25 years and it has the original 350 HO in it. The car is still in pretty good shape and everything is still with the car. The only thing not original is the tranny and the tuck and roll interior that looks horrible. Body is pretty straight besides a few lil dings here and there. I think this will be an awesome project car. Thanks for the help, I'm sure I will have plenty more questions to come. |

Sounds like a nice car. It might be nice to keep the HO badging but if there is a problem with the engine, a 400 would be my minimum CID choice.

What kind of proof do you have or did you get to know that it is a 350 HO car. Don't go by stickers on the car those are way to easy to put on. The first thing you will look for is to make sure it has # 48 heads on it. To be a 350HO it has to be a 350 with # 48 heads. Of coruse you find the number for the heads in the 2 center exhaust ports on the heads. If you look at the heads you will see a 4 on # 3 exhaust port & an 8 on the #5 exhaust port. Make sure your getting what you pay for. Also it has to have true duel exhaust to, with a 4 BBL carb.
