Default 1962 Pontiac parts car WANTED

Hello, I am looking for a 1962 Pontiac parts car. Doesn't need interior or motor/trans but needs a good front clip.

I'm also looking for a 62 grand prix grill

I remember a couple years ago, there was this little wrecking yard near Broken Bow OK that had a nice '62 Pontiac front clip already pulled...maybe I can get up there in a month or two ?

That guy would probably want $1500 for his worst one. I've tried to buy stuff from him in the past but I never had an arm and a leg to spend

I've tried to buy lots of parts from him in the past and I'd say everything was priced at least twice what they would go for on ebay. The last part I wanted was the little floor perch thing where the pedal bolts to. He told me he didn't have time to look for a rust free one and he would charge me money to look for a good one and then charge me like $150 for the entire pan since i would be "ruining a full pan." I gave up on him after that.

I understand this is not a cheap hobby but I am not a cheap person but his prices are ridiculous.

I have nothing against him personally, he was always nice but I have never needed a part bad enough to buy one from him.

I got quotes from him for my tranny stuff and his prices were more than reasonable. Pretty quick getting back to me too. Unfortunately he doesn't have the HD stuff I wanted or I probably would have bought the entire setup. Even sent me pictures upon request as well.

They were actually closed at the time and still were when I drove by last month. They where just there that day when me and Paul went by in October 2007..it was his late fathers yard and they were clearing brush and overgrowth on a very old wreckingyard... lots of goody's seen that day!!! I think it was called Sullivans in Broken Bow OK

Probably, as I don't think they have been open at all since I was there in 2007 and saw it every year since with just a bunch of stuff everywhere and not open...matter of fact the sign on the front says it is not open I think...but I saw a while back an another address nearby online that was that name and maybe you could reach them? They had a cool, complete and original 67 Tempest wagon that had a perfect 67 GTO front clip, completely straight body, untouched 326/ST300 driveline , running when parked, needs interior...$1500

And yes price depends upon attitude. If he's expensive then you pissed him off. Remember, I didnt have to tell you where the parts were either. I was being nice.
I do remember some one in the area that came there wanting parts from one of my cars and the next day they were taken off overnight. The same ones this person asked about. Do you think the owner would give that person a good price on parts after that happened?

I'm a very nice guy with very good manners. Ask anyone that knows me. Larry knows me. I hope he doesn't think I'm an asshole. I'm not some asshole looking to get something for nothing and I never tried to heckle with him. I just needed some parts. They're just pontiac parts. It's not like they were Chevy 409 parts or something

No, If I caught someone stealing parts I would shoot them. I didn't steal any parts though. I don't think trying to do business with the attitude that everyone is out to get you or rip you off or steal parts in the middle of the night is the best way to run a business.
