i found it interesting that they made it sound like there was never a 72 lemans GT. which is interesting that they did not do any homework and realize that there was one, would have been interesting to put a picture of what the actual GT was in the article.

i bought it as a luxury lemans owner just for the luxury lemans on the cover. LOL seriously though, i dont really care for the paint scheme ( personally ) but i appreciate the fact that they left it a lemans instead of cloning it into a gto, and i really appreciate that they went with period correct aftermarket wheels instead of the nasty gaudy ass 19's and 20's. That kid should have a good time with his new toy !

I went to PHR to see if there was a link to it and couldn't find one.
I am not a fan of the stripes either. Too much like ch.....y stripes to suit me. to each his/her own.
Hope the kid enjoys it. He deserves to, since he put so much work into it.

Awhile back on here, I said i didn't believe there was a LM GT for 72, until someone showed proof. They were so rare I didnt remember seeing any, but then I was 11 y/o in '72.

I'd like to see more LLM's either restored, original, or restified.

I am always looking for photos and info on LeMans GT cars for my website at GT-37.org

Mark, is your car on my photo page?
http://www.gt-37.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=192
If not I'd gladly post any photos you could send.
I hope to have a GT-37 and LeMans GT registry up and running someday.

Bill

Bill I have a couple of cars and know of a few more and might have some pics that may be of use. I have an early Lucy Blue 71 GT-37, just got a late Lucy blue GT 37, I have the green 72 GT. I know of a one owner 72 GT, i also know of a lucy blue car in a boneyard that is too far gone, and I looked at a black/wht gold stripe car in VA. Depending on what you want I can send pics. Mark

This is what I drive daily. Hell, I don't even own another car. Sooner or later that 350 will give way to a 400 stroked to 433ci and a posi unit will need to be acquired, but the car will always look like it does now.

Thanks, as usual it depends on condition and most of all what someone is willing to give for it. I paid $9500.00 + $500 for the guy to trailer it from Florida to Louisiana.
