hope this works, my old girl, still needs work, but now i am having some fun with the car, instead of it collecting dust in the garage, we have hoon laws here, so if you get caught speeding by too much or lay rubber on the street, the police confiscate your car for 48 hours, first offence.

Pictures of mine in my signature. It's going in for paint this week. I'll be on the road first nice day this Spring. Everything is restored ready to bolt back together.

Default My 'bird

Every old car seeems to have a good story to go with it. Mine is no exception. The last thing the seller told me before I drove the car home from Detroit in January 2004 was that the heater wasn't working. It was 36 degrees and falling. I had to stop in Lima, Ohio for the night because of a major ice storm. The next morning I found that the driver's door lock was broken when I couldn't get in. The passenger side had a newer style lock which I didn't have a key for. I finally pulled into the garage at home, changed clothes and took off for a follow-up visit to a doctor that had done some tests on me the week before. He informed me that I had an advanced form of liver disease (called PSC for short) that would require that I get a liver transplant in the not too distant future. Six months later, a doctor at University of Cincinnati hospital found cancer in my bile duct and I was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. While there, I went through radiation, chemo, and in Sept. 2005, a liver transplant. During my illness and convelescence, I worked on repainting emblems, polishing stainless trim etc. And I read tons of car magazines and books. I learned how to weld, bodywork, paint, interior trim. The attached pic was taken earlier this year

Cool A few shots of my brother's '69 350 coupe

This is a fairly well-optioned car with a slightly warmed-over 350, built to poor man's 350 HO specs with '69 #46 heads and a factory 068 cam along with long-branch exhaust manifolds. It runs the original TH400 trans and a 3.42 posi rear out of a late 2nd-gen T/A.

The car has factory A/C, power discs, power driver's seat, power steering and deluxe interior. It had been repainted in the original white by a previous owner and the paint is starting to show it's age. We added the 15X7" Rally IIs painted black and silver with no trim rings running 235/60s all around, replacing the original 14X7" Rally IIs.

I like the way these cars look with a vinyl top, the classic lines of the coupe roof really stand out on the 1st-gen cars with the top in a contrasting color.

It has 4 speed, 400, PS, PB, red interior.

Now has front discs, rally IIs, and soon to be returned to the original Silverglaze exterior.

Default Here's Deuce

My second Firebird. Used the Sprint engine, rear end, WS-6 rear springs, '69 TA ride and handling front springs w/ coil cut, 1" front sway bar, poly bushings, subframe connectors, front '69 disc brakes, and interior from Phoenix (my first Firebird). I found Deuce abandoned on the way home towing Phoenix from a rollover at Texas World Speedway in 1993. I did all of the driveline, paint and bodywork, interior, wiring. The first show I went to with Deuce I won the trophy for best Firebird.
I am going to be putting in a M-20 and a 400 in the near future and retire the Sprint.

Here's a couple of mine while it was still in progress. Finished it up this past weekend though and only real change to the exterior has been the addition of 1" lowering blocks in the rear to help with the ride height. Well that and I put the hood on the car. I will have to take some more pics of the finished product.

A cloudy day so the color looks muddy

The day I went to look at it and purchased it

I'm hoping to get some good pics shortly before it goes away for winter work (engine paint, new manifold, body work)

Edit: Yes, I'm aware of the hood issue, I found out just yesterday I'm missing a shim on the fender on each side and it will be fixed during the winter. Same issue on one door not lining up right with the fender

Thanks Firebird400.

Wheels are 18x8 up front w/ 4.5" BS shod with 245/40 Tires and the rears are 18x9.5 w/ 5-5/8" BS shod with 285/40's.

Color is a '06 or '07 Buick color called Red Jewel Metallic. I had some additional red pearl added to the mix and had it sprayed over a black base to darken the hue some. I really like how the color turned out and it is much better than the original Expresso Brown it came from the factory with. I see we have similar tastes in color!
