6 cyl '71 GT-37
I was on FB in the Pontiacs Online and an person there clamed he knew of a 6 cyl, 3 speed, GT-37 at this location.
DurretT's Corner in Chocotah,Ok. Said he would get documentation the next time he went to Benny's. It is under a '71 T-37, that is really nice, for sale. Anyone here know about them or it or even heard of it. I and all others here know that the GT package in '71 was available on any 2 dr ht T-37 that was ordered with a V8. I even looked at the order form for '71 and it was mandated there that it had to be a V8. You could order the hood pins, stripes and Rally II's but kinda hard to have a rear valance panel for duals with single exhaust. The person there claims that he will get documentation to prove it and got upset when I questioned its validity and said he would get proof. Don't want to go all through the GT-37 stuff again unless there are new ones who have questions. PHS will prove it out. I personally will spend the $$ to get the PHS documents if necessary to prove or disprove. Anyone know anything about this?

Sounds like it's a T-37 with a typo in the ad or wrong trim installed.

Been through Checotah OK many times. Not going that way anytime soon but if the BS continues, Jack, let me know, will make a road trip.
Absolutely no GT-37's were factory built with 6 cyls. What's the guy thinking, there was some rare experimental exhaust system for '71 6 cyl cars to run through the GTO/GT-37 rear valance? Now in T-37's, we all know there were 250 6 cyls in some of them. I've cut up several. One 2 door hardtop I wish I'd never cut up, but cut it up in the late '80's. Another '71 6 cylinder T-37 I bought the body off the frame up on sawhorses. It was a beige post car, lot of fun to load up. Came with a trailer load of parts: nice fenders, hood, inner fenders.

Obviously its a rare C.O.P.O 6 option GT-37 and the "G" fell off due to the radical idle of the 250 cid beast hahahahaha and dealer installed NOS 68 Sprint 6 split dual inline exhaust

been a friend of bennys since the early 80's. back then, he had absolutely tons of stuff, including a 70 judge ra4 that sold new here in Tulsa but it has been long gone for many years. I don't recall this particular car, but someone probably replaced the engine with a 6 cylinder.

Sounds like a clone or the engine was swapped out prior.
