Can examine several original '71 & '72's later today.

Thanks Roger! I was wondering if Bendix was the OEM supplier in 71-72?

Easy to see the cast BENDIX in the valve...as opposed to Delco Morraine who supplied booster, and master.

Delco Morraine:
-Feb '71 (Van Nuys build)
-March 31, 72 build
-very late May '73

All above T/A project cars, can vouch for nothing brake wise being swapped.

I thought I would revive this thread in case it helps someone down the road. I recently had some issues with the brakes on my 70 Formula with power disc. Decided that I would flush the system and found lots of crap in the master. Rather than just replacing the master I needed to do the hold off valve, the metering valve & the distribution block/switch as well. While replacements for the first three pieces are easily found I could not find a new distribution block. The equivalent part for 1971 is available but it is not a direct swap. However I did find a site dealing with the 1970 piece. In addition to offering rebuild kits for the distribution block, hold off and metering valves, he has also posted detailed disassemble and rebuild pages. The links for the 1970 block are below.

You basically remove the tube seats from either end of the block, inspect, clean and reassemble using the new springs, O rings and tube seats provided. Other than ensuring the various pieces go back in the correct order it’s pretty straightforward.
