Does anyone know the correct finish for the spindle on the 70 GTO?

Also, how about the finish on the...

-Caliper Mounting Bracket
-Question mark shaped steering "horn" which connects the spindle to the tie rod ends.

Thanks in advance.

The spindles and arms should be cast gray. The Caliper Mounting Brackets gold cadium.

Frank, I'm going to use clear over the raw castings.. will this hold up over time?

That is a very nice car.. essentially the same idea as what I'm trying to.

I put clear on all the cast front end parts on my 68, that was six years ago. They show some surfase rust now. I clean them with WD40 and they look good again. I'm in the middle of a frame-up on a 67, I primed and painted the front suspension parts on this one.

There is a rust preventing spray call Boeshield
From Boeing aircraft. They use it for the landing gear on airplanes and it works extremely well and last along time. It stands up to extreme temps and lots of water, ice, salt and etc.
