Default Doug Nash 4+1 or Richmond parts wanted

I'm looking for parts to repair a Doug Nash/Richmond 4+1 5 speed transmission that I bought. I need the input shaft (gm 26 splines) and the 5th cluster gear.

Let me know what you have, used or new.

Thanks,

Frank.

theres a dude in texas that has parts..he fixed the t56 in my CTS-V..and is the most reliable guy i ever dealt with long distance for that type of service...good dude..

drawing a blank on his business name, i will dig the receipts out..when i talked to him in January he said he could fix the DN i have, no problems..he fixed my T56 and it is flawless..ill be back here tonight after i get home..

he said he can fix them and get any part needed and he will sell parts

https://www.5speeds.com/ guy from this site has a few youtube vids on how to improve shifting of these transmissions. Sounds like they stock some parts, may be worth checking into.

Last time I thought about this subject, I remembered Leonard Long who made the excellent Leonard Long Shifter" for the Nash and Rechmond Transmissions. Leonard had a bunch of Nash and Richmond Transmission parts.

His company is called "Long's Machine" Cleona, Pennsylvania.
He has another compant called Long Shifters (717) 202-8374
(This info is a few years old.)

Richmond used to carry a number of parts a few years ago but would not sell direct. I got mine from DTS when I freshened and changed ratios on a race Nash 5 speed. Ihave parts schematics I can copy if you need. If you do decide to try working on it get a GOOD pair of big snap ring pliers! Not cheap Chinese.

Jegs carries any part you need that is made. The trick is to know the Richmond part numbers. Through mergers and acquisitions. Motive Gear now owns them. I've been through a few DN/ Richmond 4+1 units. Very simple. All serviceable parts (rings, bearings seals ec) are readily available and are in multi use applications. Rev Gear & idler is usually kissed and needs replacing. This is available.
