No pushing needed on this one as with matching numbers power plant, chassis, and transmission in the 400ci, 4-speed manual, decaled version.
Then later....

A single 4-barrel carburetor is atop and a replacement Borg Warner T10 4-speed manual transmission is on back.
The VIN stamped into the case is easy to spot.

Well that more or less fits what I have been saying. These "classic " car dealers are junk peddlers for the most part.

The package tray was fine factory flush speakers, the radio fit very well and is a Delco there were no cuts in the dash. The door panels were painted over and chalky to the touch dried out. There was a lot of red over spray under the hood. And he couldn’t answer why the tranny was swapped with that mileage. He kept avoiding that, and changing the subject. I told him about several e bay cars, he said all e bay cars are junk, and I laughed and said..... so this car is junk? He said what? I said .....you do know you just had this car on e bay and didn’t get your price stopped at $16k? He didn’t know what to say.
Just curious, what leads you to believe that the door is not original? Were the certification labels on the door missing?

Got bad news for you mary. In 77 birg Warner transmission is what the factory put in on the line. Even tgou buildsheet still list the trans as a m21 it is documented that the factory started using borg Warner units since 1974
Its most likely the original

We are going off of what was noted in the description, in the add, as well as the dealer reveal. Maybe it was born with the Warner trans and replaced with another? That I have no idea.

Here is some paper work they gave us upon inspection last Saturday.

Yes neither door had any door labels GM or other, and one door was rusty underneath the other was perfect. Re paint and overspray.

That's an unusually heavy optioned car to not have factory AC (despite the ad claiming it does).
