By the door panel I would say that is a 66 Tempest not a 67 Lemans, so no energy absorbing Column.

The gills in the rear quarter clearly make it a 67 Lemans...who would take the time to graft in those gills and then put a 67 GTO grill in...

For the benefit of those who have never dealt with an early collapsed column following a crash, they were designed to telescope only several inches once the pin shears. This '67 is (IMO) a severe hit case. My congratulations go to the driver for surviving this. He is fortunate and blessed.

Two different cars. They took a similar hit. Red interior is 66sprint6's car. HTH.
