Are you trying to say that you don't like the seat covers , dash bezel , simulation carb with wrong code , and the alternator bracket ?

Its a good car and still gonna bring good money.
If the deviations and short faults don't get caught it might go 6 figures

A Lot there to look over. Being a Ca car brings into the light some different questions as well.
Speaker on the right side and the spare pushing the enclosure sideways..
Front sway bar mounting set up is wrong for a T/A .( didn't get energy suspension mounts and bushings)
Exhaust, well they didn't call Eric.
Driveshaft,...?
I question the rear springs . all shiny, and too high, and well too much of the car is all shinny for a super original car ( investment grade IMHO)

Who knows? My 71 has an 80 bezel in it lol

On the 70, lots of little details wrong, but looks like a pretty good car overall. Makes me happy that mine currently under the knife was completely untouched before starting the resto. Those little things add up!

Even twenty years ago, it was (as I understood it) to replace a nice looking later dash insert - with it's shiny machined finish, for one which was dull and often worn to the point that the machine finish was gone, and left in it's place was a dull grey/flat aluminum.

When I last looked at this listing (thank you email alerts!) it was at (or somewhere close to) $35k;
I am guessing that a numbers matching 1970 Trans Am - with a 'WS' engine is what the current bidding (at $71k) is ALL about.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds issues with this TA. Yes, it'll go for big bucks. Most likely to someone who doesn't know that much about our favorite model.

Seller's response to my comment about the use of a 1973 model year front bumper seems to show he doesn't understand the difference between the 1973 and the 1970-72 part. Notice the 1970-71 grilles have had to be hacked in to place since the '73's attach in a different way.
I'm probably going to offend some by saying, IMHO, I see this one as a "10 footer" at best.

I had an "ah-ha" moment some years ago where a member rightly pointed out I was coming off more critical than I had intended;
I took that to heart, and have tried to not be overly negative when offering criticism of any car.

From my cursory look over the car (I didn't do much more than glance at maybe a quarter of the images - I mean there is over three hundred!!), the body work looks good.

Now, the the mechanicals, and body work are good - that's all the less that any subsequent owner should or might want to replace later on.

I am honestly remiss at how quickly these cars have escalated in value;
These cars when from being "redneck-salt-of-the-earth" type cars, to fodder for people with income a whole lot higher than myself;
If you can afford to spend $80k on something like this, then surely another $10k to make it all the better should be a no-sweat sort of deal.

The only thing that had me really scratching my head was the valve stem location of the front drivers wheel... to me, that looks just wrong - and I don't understand how that could be.

I have a 70 tucked away with what was a super nice OEM Black Custom Deluxe interior.
Have not opened a door on it in years and more trouble to get at it and in it than I care to journey on a whim.

But does anyone else have opinions or proofs about the seat covers or door panels on this 70 ?
The front and rear seats both seem too "flattened" to me.
And I can't get good enough zoom to determine the detail of the comfort weave.

Doesn't look right to me.
Sort of like replacement covers over old cushions or something ..... sumpn

Sold new in California so it had the EVAP system. The liquid vapor separator is there (even has the correct yellow hose clamps), but I don't see the canister under the hood. I don't see the metal line near the brake booster or the metal line under the radiator either.

Later fan shroud.

Water temp gauge reads 220/260, should be 210/250.

70 birds are a bitch to get right.
