Default Weird vacuum advance

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out;
I recently bought a bunch of stuff and one item I grabbed was a "ho-hum" 1970 350/2bbl distributor along with some points distributor parts (this was everything this guy had for points distributors);
After I got home and started sorting the stuff out, I put in an old set of points, an old rotor and the loose cap that all came with this on the distributor - at which time I noticed the weird looking vaccum advance.

At first I thought it was an aftermarket adjustable part, but on closer inspection it has a stylized Delco Remy logo right beside the screw in vacuum nipple.

It has the numbers 126_24 stamped on it.

I also just noticed that accross from the Delco logo is what appears to be a "14" with a "-" above the number four.

Can anyone tell me what this part is correct/original to?

I am now thinking that this is an older part which has a max mechanical advance of twenty-four degrees, is that correct?

Probably 24 degrees. That means if you set your engine up with 32 degrees, ;you'd have 56 degrees total advance with this advance diaphragm. Someone once told me that 52 degrees is the max you want with a Pontiac engine.

Any other ideas?
