Default New addition to the nest

I picked up a 71 TA the other week, the starter promptly took a dump and the battery was from 2012. My daughter dropped the starter off at a local rebuilder. I had a little down time so I checked the car over for your average things like brakes, oil change, fluids, plugs, lubrication and so forth. I removed 7.5 qts of oil out of it, the front suspension never had grease...in anything! The exhaust needs some love too, never have I seen these type of collector adapters. I'm sure I'll find more bull crap, this car will get justice. It drives really well. Just a couple creaks and rattles that will get taken care of, has nice torque, and smokes them with ease. I'm sure I will have issues pop up which is why I'm here. You guys and gals have helped me so much over time. Thank you!!!

I bought it at a dealer over in Jersey, its been talked about a fair amount on here. Basically I struck a deal and they took it. The car is supposedly a royal bobcat, it makes for a nice story but I couldn't care less. It was sold new at Royal Pontiac. It does need some little stuff that I will take care over time. It did participate in some "all night rally" in NY in 1972. A board member here did look at a couple years ago. It has an old set of hooker headers on it which made it difficult to get the starter out, but manifolds will be put back on.

Congrats Matt. Really like the early 70's T/A's and that looks like a nice one. Hope to see you cruising around soon.

Thanks ladies and gents. You get a little older and you like these cars for what they are/were. There will be no holley on it, no blaster 2 coil or MSD box, no lumpy cam, or aftermarket shifter, which has been the norm for me with my 69. Some guys in the other thread wanted more pics, I'm usually not the broadcast type.

Probably the pinnacle of T/A production.

It deserves to be left just as fabulous as it was when it first rolled off the showroom floor.
