Hi Guys, I am in the process of restoring a 64 GTO and need some info on the heater core box color ?? It seems to be a charcoal gray color ?? Anyone know what it is ?? Thanks.

Default Heatercore box

Hi On p.410 of Zazzarine & Roberts book says Blower motor cover was 30o gloss black and the under dash heater core was dark gray metallic 60o gloss. if you get info on paint formula for under dash please reply thanks Jon

Rustoleum Mottled bronze from Home Depot. Original boxes had a weird finish to them, the Mottled bronze came out grey and with the original look.

That's really close to what they looked like originally. I used the same Rustoleum product on my restoration and am happy with the result. Kind of a hammertone dark gray metallic.
