Question Making Anti-roll bar for leafspring '65 GTO - Thoughts?

Got no response in the race section, hope for more here!
I am going to try and make an anti-roll bar for my GTO so it will launch level. I believe a 1" front swaybar from a Dodge PU can be put behind the rear-end and mount to a crossbar welded to the frames 20" behind the housing and the ends will attach to the leafspring/housing bracket. I was planning on using polyurethane bushings. Figured I could do this for under $100 and eliminate the twist on launch and hopefully improve 60ft's or at least make it more consistent.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks,
PHILLYGOAT

Thumbs up 30mm Anti-Rollbar for $128.33(tax incl.)

Total cost is more than I expected(always is!), but I feel good about the install.

$19.50 30mm(1 3/16") swaybar from 86 Dodge PU
29.30 Metal for boxing rear frame & crossmember for swaybar attachment
30.00 Labor for welding
24.53 Energy Suspension Graphite Impregnated Greaseable Polyurethane Mounts
5.00 Cut-off & Grinder wheels
10.00 Grade 8 nuts/bolts/washers
10.00 Gas for running around to get all the parts
$128.33

I have probably spent two days running around and modifying parts to fit. It was actually fun to do and I hope it will work as well as I think it will. I now have to pull the engine and see why I lost oil pressure. Testing of new anti-roll bar may have to wait till next year. I will try to get some pics so you can see what I did.
