Installing trunk lid letters?
The trunk lid that came with my 68 is from a 69, so of course does not have the factory holes for mounting the PONTIAC letters.
I have a template from a 68 lid marking the hole locations, but prefer not to start drilling if I can avoid it. Has anyone tried buzzing off the pegs on backside of letters and gluing them on? If yes, what did you use? I have some 3M 2 part clear seam sealer i thought might work well, assuming I can keep the stuff from oozing out the edges when pressed in place.
