Why a Pontiac?
The main reason is they are simply the coolest of all cars. They started the whole "muscle car" thing. And, as a senior in HS, cruising Longview Wash in my 57 tired chev that burned oil from here to the moon, I would admire all the '60 Impala 348/335hp 4spds mopping about going past the most beatiful 62 GP, maroon, 8 lugs, 421 signs, elegant short stick 4spd in the world!! He did NOT cruise, just let all us wanta bees cruise past HIM. Bottom line was, if you could not afford a Poncho, settle for a Chev. Will, I waited, and waited, and waited. Boy did I wait. Until 2 years ago when I found the Poncho I wanted, my 64 4spd Catalina with Ventura interior and only 26K orginal miles. People are always wondering "did Pontiac even offer a 4spd?", or "what is it?". I love it and answer thier questions. Apparantly, we forget or simply don't know the REAL begining of our beloved hobby. Who's your DADDY,,,, PONTIAC!! (I am sick of "350 small blocks with turbo 350's").

Thank you Bunkie Knudson, Fireball Roberts, Junior Johnson and yes even you John Deloren.
