Well, I used to do Buicks for years, then quit street rodding altogether for about 10 years, and noe I've been doin Pontiacs for about a year. A lotta fun. But I'm a big believer in junkyards, especially down here in TX where you can still find quadrajets and big heads. When I was younger (MUCH younger), I dabbled in "five-fingered discounts" at the "midnight auto supply", but as an adult wished I had kept all that stuff.
So, now I locate this yard in North TX that's just brimming with old Ponchos and '70 455 Buicks with the 800 Quads still on 'em. I went last weekend, found a good carb within the first five minutes, plus a good choke heat coil.
EXCEPT........$125.00 for the carb, and $35.00 for the coil. *Geez*
MORAL: Nowadays, they know what they got.
RULE: How bad do you want it?
Thank goodness for PY and E-Bay, and stuff like that. Double

P.S. You mention "Ram Air" at a yard today, and people just giggle and tell you to get the hell out

The PY Online Forums is the largest online gathering of Pontiac enthusiasts anywhere in the world. Founded in 1991, it was also the first online forum for people to gather and talk about their Pontiacs. Since then, it has become the mecca of Pontiac technical data and knowledge that no other place can surpass.
