Question ‘69 RamAir Filter

I find that the replacement air filter from Ames is too tall. Anyone else? Is it the correct height? Is there a shorter version available?

I’m not clear on what this means. I know the original Delco part number, but I don’t believe they’re available. What is Wix 42102?

Is's the Wix Filter Brand part number you ask for at the auto parts store, or order from Rock Auto, etc. Same with the AC-Delco part number. I just prefer Wix brand.

Thanks. The dimensions don’t seem right for that part number. The filter size needs to be 2” tall with a 10” diameter.

Sorry. But the A366C is not even remotely close!
So the original AC part number is A367C or GM part number 6485167 for the original F body RA Hood Inlet upper pan filter. They are BIG $$$! An extremely close replacement is AC part number A117C or GM part number 5647255.
Take that to the bank!

Default The A366C / 6485167 / 42102 filter is the 1969-70 GTO / 1970-79 Trans Am size.

It fits the LOWER pan on 1969-70 GTOs with Ram Air and 1970-79 Trans Am with shaker.

The A367C / 6485167 fits into the UPPER pan on 1967-69 Firebirds with Ram Air.

OP didn't specify in 1st post that car was Ram Air F body. Guess I should have read his signature. I just assumed it was a GTO. My bad. Know nothing about F bodies. Ill back out and let you guys find OP the correct filter.

Yes, FN144 — right diameter but too tall.
