1962 wheel alignment
I'm doing some front-end work and looking for some front wheel alignment spec for a 1962 Catalina 4 door. the new shocks made a difference now it need ball joints.
Apparently, these cars don't need an alignment after 1970! Camber Caster toe-in and if there are better than stock spec let me know as well Jim

These are stock specs from my 1961 manual, I assume 1962 is the same:
Camber +0.25 degrees, plus or minus 0.5 degrees (give left wheel up to 0.25" maximum more than right wheel to correct for road crown) Caster -1.5 degrees, plus or minus 0.5 degrees Toe-in 0 to 1/8" |

Thanks
Stuart I’m sure it’s close enough. Jim

If possible, and if the car has power steering: I would recommend adding some positive caster to greatly improve steering wheel return and the ability for the car to track straight on a straight road. Especially if running vintage bias tires, it will be much less likely to follow cracks in the road. You may be limited as to how much you can get in with stock parts. .5-to 1 degree positive will help allot IMO. Power steering only. With manual steering, the negative caster makes it much easier to steer at low speeds especially.
